Landz Beauty's Natural Skin Care Guide
LandzBeauty.com provides you with all of the natural skin care tools you need for better, healthier, more youthful looking skin all over (face and body). But as with all tools, if you don't know the proper way to use them, they won't be as effective as they could. Here’s a few guidelines for getting (and keeping) the best skin you can have.
Use the Right Tools for the Job
Remember, your skin is delicate and can be torn or injured more easily than you might think. Using harsh abrasives and/or synthetic chemicals will give only an illusion of softness while they are actually tearing the skin on a microscopic level. STOP! Don't use nut shells, nylon scrubbies, or other harsh materials on the skin. An organic sea salt or sugar scrub is as abrasive a product as you need, and then only weekly.
For every day exfoliation, use a natural sea sponge and/or a product containing a natural glycolic acid (from fruit) to slough away dead skin cells, revealing the healthy, more youthful-looking skin beneath.
- Use only a handmade soap or body wash because they still contain the natural glycerin and oils that are a by-product of their creation. Commercial soaps have these ingredients removed.
- Use a natural sea sponge and/or a product containing glycolic acid (from fruit) for everyday exfoliation because they give just the right amount of gentle exfoliation without synthetic chemicals or abrasives – and they’re fun.
- Use a natural moisturizer everyday after cleansing. The skin is the largest organ of the body and literally absorbs what it is exposed to into the body. So keep it natural and expose your skin to natural skin care products to protect it from damage. Give yourself the best skin you can have.
Here's How
Weekly: Use a natural sugar scrub or natural sea salt scrub all over the body, paying special attention to hands, knees, elbows, and heels.
In the Shower
Get wet (maybe wash your hair and put your weekly deep conditioner on). Turn off the water and scoop your favorite natural sugar scrub or natural sea salt scrub into your palms. Working in a circular motion (never stretch or pull the skin unnecessarily), LIGHTLY scrub your entire body. Pay special attention to hands, knees, elbows, and heels.
Be careful! Do your heels last. Most natural body scrubs are in an oil base and you could slip. Turn the water back on and rinse your hair and body. Use your favorite soap sponge to wash away the excess oil. Or, for a real treat, don't suds just rinse! Dry off with your favorite fluffy towel. Now your body is really ready to take in a good, deep moisturizing natural body butter, skin soufflé, lotion, body oil, or cream.
A note on moisturizing: Don't slather! As tempting as it is, even the best natural body butter or skin soufflé will not absorb if you use too much. Warm the product between your palms and gently massage it into the skin. YUM!
In the Tub
Get in, get wet. Scoop your favorite natural sugar scrub or natural sea salt scrub into your palms. Remove each limb from the water long enough to apply the scrub, working in a circular motion (never stretch or pull the skin unnecessarily). LIGHTLY scrub your entire body. Pay special attention to hands, knees, elbows, and heels.

Daily: It’s not necessary to use a natural sugar scrub or natural sea salt scrub daily! It’s overkill and can actually damage the skin, especially in the summer. A natural sea sponge is best for everyday exfoliation; using your favorite scent of soap makes it easy and fun. Lather up and be sure to pay special attention to hands, knees, elbows, and feet. Rinse and dry off with your favorite fluffy towel.Use a good, natural skin care lotion, soufflé, body oil, or cream every day. Remember to use a good, natural sunscreen of SPF 25-30 whenever you’ll be driving for more than an hour, not just when you go to the beach or lake.
Take good care of all of your skin, not just your face.
Remember, it’s never too early to develop good skin care habits, and it’s never too late to start.
You really are worth it, and you’ll appreciate the results.
